About the position

The Lead Nutrition Services position reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Medicine, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. This position requires 32 hours a week, with most start times being from 11:30am to 7:30pm, and other times from 3pm to 7:30pm. Weekends may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and coordinates activities of kitchen/cafe workers.
  • Oversees the preparing, cooking, and serving of foods for hospital patients, personnel, and visitors during designated shifts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) within 180 days of hire.

Nice-to-haves

  • Two to three years’ experience in hospital and/or food service industry.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
