About The Position

The Lead Nurse - Emergency Service is a registered nurse who is responsible for the day-to-day direction of staff, identification of staffing needs and the coordination of patient care and department activities and may act as an extension of the manager when the manager is not present. Our Lead Nurse models standards of practice and care delivery while also reviewing and revising department policies, standards of care and procedures in conjunction with staff, leadership and our providers. In addition to modeling his/her own development and professional growth, our Lead Nurse aids in facilitating new staff members' orientation and onboarding, establishing and coordinating regular education nursing in-services and representing CRH as it relates to our population. Our Lead Nurse - Emergency Services has a base hourly rate of $35.47 annualized to $73,778. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience and does include shift differentials and premium pay as applicable. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions. The night PRN position is not benefit-eligible but offers a premium for hours worked, and the scheduled hours, 7:00pm-7:30am depend on the needs of the department and our patients.

Requirements

  • Associate of Science in Nursing or equivalent, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required within 3 years.
  • Indiana License or a Multi-State Compact License as a Registered Nurse.
  • Three (3) years of experience in an Emergency Department setting or similar experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in leadership
  • Certified Emergency Nurse certification
