Day in the Life of a Lead Nurse Clinical Prepare all paperwork needing MD signature Approve/deny all medical orders per MD Schedule annual physicals Conduct patient education (pregnancy, hepatitis, etc.) Review lab work with patients Assess for over sedation Complete charts on patients Schedule EKG’s/review MD’s recommendation regarding EKG results with patient Perform bottle checks as needed Perform as Lead Pharmacy Technician Assist Pharmacist with filing medications weekly Ensure compliance in pharmacy based on state and federal regulations Supervisory Schedule nursing/pharmacy staff Order medical supplies Prepare training and education for nursing staff Conduct weekly nursing staff meeting Audit dose changes Attend team meetings Count medication inventory Monitor dosing area for accuracy and efficiency Review all inventory binders to ensure proper documentation of inventory Review 222 binder for pharmacist signature Ensure nursing staff license is current Reconcile inventory reconciliations as needed Our Story Since 2005, Crossroads has been at the forefront of treating patients with opioid use disorder.
