About The Position

The Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform essential duties in Nuclear Medicine, including technical and operational procedures, equipment troubleshooting, patient care, and imaging study performance. This role involves administering radiopharmaceuticals, assisting in training other staff, managing inventory, and scheduling patients while ensuring compliance with regulatory agency requirements.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved AMA School of Radiology and NMTCB approved School of Nuclear Medicine.
  • Valid State of Maine license required.
  • National registration with ARRT required.
  • Must fulfill mandatory CEU requirement.
  • BLS certification required.
  • 1-year previous experience preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to rotate to off-site imaging locations.
  • Phlebotomy skills as required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical and operational procedures in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.
  • Provide patient care during imaging studies.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and injections to patients.
  • Assist in training other staff members in Nuclear Medicine procedures.
  • Manage inventory control for Nuclear Medicine supplies.
