About The Position

The Lead NoSQL Database Engineer at The Trade Desk will play a crucial role in building and maintaining a data-driven platform that supports high-performance database operations. This position involves working with technologies such as Aerospike, MongoDB, and Kafka to handle over 75 million queries per second while ensuring low latency. Requirements

• Leadership experience and ability to mentor.
• Domain knowledge in physical server internals and their management.
• Experience with the Linux operating system.
• Experience in performing testing and tuning.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with databases (relational or otherwise).
• Familiarity with Ansible, Prometheus, Kubernetes.
• Programming skills in Python, Ruby, Rust, Bash, Golang, or C#.

Responsibilities

• Operations for Aerospike, Kafka, and MongoDB.
• Serve as a point of contact for reviewing new use cases and responding to production issues.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
• Lead a team to manage and plan work streams, systems, and data structures at scale.
• Encourage and improve infrastructure automation for stateful systems.
• Benchmark and analyze next-generation hardware offerings.
• Create and maintain alarm definitions to prevent issues and reduce alert fatigue.
