About The Position

The Lead Neuroscientist position at Danisco USA Inc. is a pivotal role within the Enabling Technologies' Sensory Science group, responsible for leading global neuro- and biometric studies to validate the functional benefits of the company's ingredient and product portfolio. This role emphasizes collaboration across various business units and adherence to high scientific standards, ensuring quality and compliance in research activities.

Requirements

• PhD in Neuroscience or related Sensory Science field required (e.g., Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Science, Biomedical).
• Minimum 8 years of proven track record leading neuroscience research in relevant fields or settings.
• Strong experimental design and data analysis skills, including explicit and implicit methods.
• Experience with functional brain mapping techniques (EEG, FMRI, MEG) and related biometric tools for psychophysiological research.
• Strong communication skills for presenting technical information clearly and effectively.
• Ability to quickly grasp different concepts and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Curious, knowledgeable, and creative mindset applied to problem-solving.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge or experience in R D fragrance, flavor, and/or food & beverage industries.
• At least 5 years of neuroscience-related research or work experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the R D-ET Neuroscience platform lead, driving scientifically validated Health & Wellness solutions in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Define and implement the data management strategy facilitating cross-functional data analytics.
• Manage all aspects of internal and external ethics committee review and approvals, ensuring compliance for conducting human subject research.
• Work with leadership teams to ensure strategic alignment and end-to-end visibility.
• Drive new method development to advance sensory, consumer, and neuroscience research & innovation.
• Act as the scientific lead for cross-functional projects, translating project goals into defined work streams for direct reports.
• Represent ET Sensory Science in cross-functional teams and collaborative projects.
• Manage collaborative projects with industry and academic partners.
