Design, analyze, and optimize network components and architecture for wireless and wireline infrastructure, providing strategic planning, solution recommendations, and implementation strategies to guide capital deployment and allocation decisions. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following: Network Design and Architecture: Develop detailed network plans and blueprints, conduct feasibility and cost studies, ensure scalability and efficiency, and recommend network planning and evolution strategies. Performance Analysis and Capacity Planning: Monitor and optimize network performance, troubleshoot issues, develop and evaluate performance criteria, and analyze short-term and long-term capacity needs. Technology Evaluation: Evaluate new and emerging technologies, recommend innovative solutions, and assess their applicability to existing network systems. Collaboration and Coordination: Work with internal teams and stakeholders, manage vendor relationships, and determine future business and customer needs. Documentation and Deliverables: Maintain comprehensive documentation, ensure compliance, create guidelines and procedures, and produce management reports, business cases, and deployment plans. Leads significant projects with strategic autonomy, influencing executive decisions. Mentors less experienced staff, implements long-term plans impacting the organization, and frequently collaborates with senior leadership. Environmental Requirements: This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&T compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Certification is required in some areas.
  • Deep technical knowledge, acting as a subject matter expert on AT&T Network technologies.
