Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in network engineering
  • Expert knowledge of industry circuit testing standards.
  • Expert knowledge in Routing and switching network environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce conceptual diagrams and detailed technical documents.
  • Hands on in a complex lab environment.
  • Understanding of MEF principals.
  • Knowledge of L2 based service types (E-LINE and E-LAN)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working across sales, engineering, operations, and product.
  • Track record of architecting or influencing next-generation network platforms.
  • Strong industry vendor knowledge and established relationships.

Responsibilities

  • CPE Certification for new and existing hardware and software
  • Supports Vendor Platforms New Vendor, New Feature and Functionality Enhancement of features and functionality
  • Hardware Code OS certification
  • Lab Management for BU POR, CONNECT POR, R&D, DVT testing
  • Maintain and develop Legacy and NextGen lab instance
  • Support DPE Engineering projects
  • Support DVT requests
  • Liaison with Core Architecture Team
  • Work to document standards for Lab allocation and resources.
  • Viavi Platform and Test Set Supports Standard RFC2544 & y.1564 test environment
  • Support DR Application platform with DC Team Tests New Application Versions as well as new feature functionality
  • Support API and MIB requirements
  • Develop release plan
  • Create and maintain documentation for deployment standards.
  • Supports production escalations
  • Supports system and tools escalations
  • Deploys lab instance to test and validate escalations
  • Develop escalation documentation and remediation plan
  • Maintain Security Profile for hardware and software
  • Work with CyberSecurity team on Organizational wide goals and objectives
  • Routinely evaluates network for key security exposure
  • Supports rollouts of new patches, updates and remediation plans
  • Tracks current elevated security incidents and responses
  • Supports production escalations related to security
