About The Position

Lead assigned staff in performing medical and diagnostic imaging activities or tasks within assigned departments and/or functional areas. Ensure quality in imaging, patient care and workflow. Oversee equipment maintenance and trouble shooting. Monitor patient documentation for timely completion and accuracy. Prepare, perform and assist the physician in special and advanced procedures. Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations. Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history). Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards. Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department. Provide input into hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff. Serve as a resource to department staff as well as other members of the team as needed.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certified Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Competency & Credentialing Institute (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
