About The Position

The Multi-Modality Lead Tech reports to the manager of CT. They are responsible for assisting the CT Manager with daily operations of the BBEMC radiology department. They will be responsible for monitoring the BBEMC radiology staff, prioritizing patient workload and providing guidance and accountability to team members. They must be able to fully function in all areas of the department. They are expected to provide quality imaging and patient care within two or more imaging modalities-CT and Xray. The technologist must be able to effectively explain the procedures to the patient and be sure they are competent in the procedure being performed. The technologist must produce images for the interpretation, and or request of, a licensed practitioner. They must be a graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology and have one year of radiologic experience. They must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), CT and licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association. They must be able to produce very high-quality special imaging with little supervision, able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment, and be familiar with age specific criteria. They should have one year of experience as a registered Radiological Technologist as well as CT. Certification is required in CT. Must be CPR certified.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology
  • 1 year of Radiologic experience
  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA), and must obtain Advanced Modality registration within 1 year of hire date
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
  • Must be able to produce very high-quality special imaging with little supervision
  • Able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Familiar with age specific criteria
  • One year of experience as a registered Radiological Technologist as well as CT
  • Certification is required in CT
  • Must be CPR certified
