About The Position

Provides Daily oversight and management of all MRI department Clinical, Technical and administrative tasks. Adheres to established Atria MRI Protocols and imaging techniques & standards of care. Prepares and positions patients correctly for specific examinations, observing different and special requirements for each protocol including proper documentation on images and required body part questionnaires Assumes responsibilities for all MRI department technical work, reviewing exams for quality, completeness, Exam ordered, checking previous reports/ Dicom File uploads, documents information from and communicates with Reading institutions for routine and Stat reads. Reviews Images for quality and informs referring physicians of Critical findings. Assists physicians during procedures as necessary Keeps records of daily Quality assurance, preventative maintenance and calibrations as needed, Orders and maintains par levels of inventory for Consumables and other MRI department supplies Will be required to work in case of emergency procedures or when situations arise in the department to help maintain adequate and safe coverage for the department, Must be able to work extended hours when necessary. Reports all malfunctioning equipment of assigned areas to Field Service engineer, notifies radiology director. Must have knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to MRI exams and equipment. Develops/processes images /CDs when requested. Update other departments, Care Coordination, ACP’s, Clinicians of MRI department shortages or disruption of service supervise MRI Department safety standards according to standards set forth by local, regional, and national entities ACR , DOH, ARRT Schedules physicist appointments for Quarterly / Annual equipment acceptance testing, Engages in technical troubleshooting of Radiology IT issues with Athena, Ambra, Power share and other Atria platforms and escalates to the responsible personnel for resolution.Retrieve, download prior exams, Upload reports to Athena Perform a variety MRI procedures and functions that require independent judgment and ingenuity with minimal supervision, on members/patients of all Establish and maintain effective working relationships with members, medical staff and the public. Effective communication skills Self-motivated and results-oriented Proactivity: A self-motivated leader who anticipates department needs before they become hurdles. Requirements

  • Previous experience with Siemens 3.0T Systems required
  • 5-10 years of MRI experience, previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Must be a graduate from an accredited radiography school or hospital-based program.
  • Certification: ARRT (MR) Certified and in good standing.
  • California State License (CRT).
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Yearly MRI Safety Certification (Level 2) required.
  • Commitment: Ability to work extended hours or emergency shifts if necessary to maintain safe department coverage.
  • (ARRT). Continuing education requirements need to be upheld to meet the standards set forth by governing bodies. Current standards are 24 ECE credits over a two-year period depending on year of birth.
  • IV certification preferred or by completion of 6-months’ orientation.
  • MRI safety certification level 2 required yearly.

  • MRSO/ MRSE certification from American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety
  • Schedule Must be okay with working 5x8s, paid in accordance to CA law
  • Potential for weekend availability as we scale west coast region
