For nearly 40 years, Urban Strategies, Inc. has assisted residents and community stakeholders to design and implement a wide range of transformative projects in distressed U.S. communities. Our mission is all children and families will be stable and thriving. The Lead Mobility Specialist is responsible for the planning, supervision and execution of mobility services for families being relocated as part of the execution of a place based transformation initiative. Additionally, the Lead Mobility Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive case management, referral, and seamless coordination with community and supportive service activities that promote economic self-sufficiency for families, enhance quality of life for seniors and the disabled, and increase opportunities for residents. In addition, they will provide specialized assistance to support families through the relocation process as identified below. This position will work with a team of social workers, case managers, and employment specialists, and other professionals to identify appropriate strategies and assist families under the Norfolk St. Paul’s People First Initiative funded in part through a Choice Neighborhoods Implementation (CNI) Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
