Requirements

• Welding experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Ability to use all types of hand tools.
• Candidates must be willing to travel and work in required locations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct railcar inspections to ensure cars are in compliance.
• Perform repairs as necessary while always using current repair procedures.
• Meet the expectations and requirements of all customers to ensure we deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Ensure all necessary invoicing, inspection, and work order information is accurate and complete.
• Pass any required NDT disciplines and function specific certifications, which may include tank car welding, and demonstrate strong familiarity with AAR rules and regulations.
• Actively participate in safety assessments and equipment inspections.
• Perform confined space monitoring and create hot work permits.
• Follow all safety rules and practices.
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Meet level 3 requirements and have advanced railcar knowledge.
• Advance skills in reading engineering drawings.
• Ability to perform repairing valves.
• Do final sign offs on completed work.
• Create complex orders for billing.
• Inspect cars and complete BRC Certified to conduct Dye Penetrant Level 2, ability to become Bubble Lead II and Airbrake test certified.
• Perform at Level 3 and serve as active leader for all levels of hourly workers.
• Visit and work with customers at remote locations.
• Lead assigned call out from site manager.
• Train lower levels.
