AT&T is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Engineer to join our dynamic team responsible for the development and enhancement of the AT&T Mobile App. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining innovative solutions that enhance the user experience for millions of AT&T customers.

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of software engineers by providing technical guidance and support.

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality, scalable, and secure front-end systems.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
  • Implement best practices for software development, including code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration.
  • Define and drive the technical architecture and design of the AT&T Mobile App, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies and frameworks to enhance the app's functionality, performance, and security.
  • Ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software by implementing comprehensive testing strategies and addressing technical debt.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of the mobile app, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mobile app development.
  • Drive innovation within the team by exploring new tools, techniques, and methodologies to improve development processes and outcomes.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend engineers, backend engineers, DevOps, and QA, to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and dependencies.
  • Technical expert in React Native, iOS & Android Development, Node.js and API services.
  • Collaborate to gather and review software requirements/user stories, provide estimates, create software design specifications and collaborate with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions.
  • Execute a specific development methodology through application of various programming languages.
  • Create and execute automated test plans/strategies utilizing business requirements and collaborate with engineers/architects, clients, etc. to validate test environments, test data and test results, design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results and produce associated reporting.
  • In addition to Unit Test, responsibilities may include dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing and/or user acceptance testing.
  • Supports applications and solves configuration and environment issues.
  • Supports the software deployment process.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related experience/field.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus front-end microservices and Object Oriented coding concepts
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership or senior engineering role.
  • Senior level technical professional, with at least 8 years of experience in: React Native Node.js Subject matter expert in Mobile Application development API Services
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality, scalable, and secure front-end systems.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
  • Implement best practices for software development, including code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration.
