Job-shop teardown, inspection, repair, and assembly of large pumps, valves, and rotating equipment Hands-on maintenance and rebuilds of centrifugal pumps, compressors, fans, blowers, steam turbines, pump seals, and their support systems Blueprint and assembly drawing interpretation to ensure accurate fit-up and rebuild quality Precision measurement using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools Application of deep mechanical aptitude to diagnose issues and verify that pump components function together as designed
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on, job-shop repair experience with large rotating equipment
- Experience across a range of rotating assets: centrifugal pumps, compressors, fans, blowers, steam turbines, and seal/support systems
- Millwright mechanic background, or formal training from an accredited technical college/trade school, or completion of an equivalent multi-year apprenticeship
- High mechanical aptitude and the ability to read blueprints and assembly drawings
- Ability to use and interpret micrometers, calipers, gauges, and inspection tooling
- Solid understanding of the individual components that comprise a pump and how they interact
