About The Position

Canteen is hiring immediately for a full-time Lead Micromarket Route Driver position located at Meta - 4817 Hannover Place, Fremont, CA 94538. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 12:00 am to 8:30 am. The role involves driving a company vehicle over an established route to deliver products and maintain micro market and related equipment. The Route Driver is the face of the company and must project a professional image while building excellent client and customer relationships. This position offers excellent advancement opportunities, providing employees with the foundation needed for entry-level management roles.

Requirements

  • 3 years driving experience required.
  • Preferred 1-2 years' experience in a customer service position, or a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
  • Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.
  • Ability to operate or willingness to learn material handling equipment (box truck, handcarts, etc.).
  • Able to work independently, responsible for route, work unsupervised 98% of the work day.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous route driving and merchandising experience.
  • Previous training experience.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates with onsite contact when needed.
  • Makes suggestions to CSM's for improvement (products, equipment, kitchen flow, delivery schedule, budget, driver performance).
  • Conducts daily/weekly visits to every location/MK under supervision to inspect quality of drivers' work.
  • Maintains proper inventory levels and product distribution for micro market.
  • Provides client and customer satisfaction in every aspect of job performance.
  • Performs routine cleaning and sanitation of micro market and related equipment.
  • Conducts minor service and adjustments on markets.
  • Reports defective equipment to designated maintenance repair service operators or technician dispatcher.
  • Ensures truck is properly loaded with all product required to service all scheduled markets.
  • Informs clients and customers of new products or services, listens to and resolves service complaints.
  • Sets up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issues sales promotion materials to customers.
  • Accountable for all receipt of goods, invoices, delivery tickets, cash received or collected, and product.
  • Conducts inventory reconciliation in accordance with District procedures.
  • Keeps company vehicle clean and organized at all times; performs pre & post trip vehicle inspections.
  • Performs all job functions in a safe and professional manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
