About The Position

The Lead Manufacturing Information (MI) Systems Engineer is responsible for maintaining product line engineering and manufacturing systems and recommending/implementing corrective actions to drive quality improvement. This includes defining requirements, acceptance testing, scheduling of training and rollout, documenting specific plant processes, and first level support of issues. This position is expected to have extensive working knowledge of configuration requirements and the associated systems and processes in the division, including Bid Manager, MI Manager, Design Automation, DCMS, POM, ENOVIA, MAPICS, AutoCAD and other site-specific tools. This position is also responsible for supporting development of the MI Systems Engineering team and oversight on the development of new Bid Manager takeoffs. A. Deploying and supporting Front End Engineering systems for the assigned product line. B. Support the development of product line specific training documentation on their use of the engineering software tools and processes. D. Lead the maintenance and improvement of systems (Bid Manager, Mi Manager, POM, etc.) to meet the needs of all stakeholders, inclusive of product line personnel, plant personnel, PMO and NAS. E. Providing a focal point for the manufacturing plants to address issues relating to front end operating systems and related practices. F. Gather requests for system enhancements and communicate those to the appropriate development manager. G. Be available for after-hours and weekend support. H. Participate in product line meetings on Front End Systems projects and continuous improvement activities, driving best practices and knowledge sharing across the various teams (engineering, design and systems) I. Maintain Front End Systems turnback/enhancement database (SharePoint tickets) and related Change Management processes, coordinating priorities with various stakeholders and team members. J. Support defect resolution for ServiceNow (SNOW) tickets through error recreation and documentation through interactions with product line engineering teams, systems developers and IT developers. K. Support the onboarding and continued development of MI Systems Engineering peers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or Information Technology field from an accredited institution
  • Seven (7) years of applicable experience with engineered-to-order (ETO) products and their associated configuration tools.
  • Authorized to work in the US without Company Sponsorship
  • No relocation is included, candidates must reside within 50 miles of an approved work location. Approved work locations include the following PDCA facilities: Arden, NC, Fayetteville, NC, and Greenwood, SC.
  • Apply object oriented programming language such as VB.Net
  • Management and development of databases.
