What You’ll Do: As our Lead Clinical Therapist supporting Arlington, VA and Washington, DC, you will provide clinical services while supporting the Executive Director in the oversight of clinical operations, staff supervision, and program development. This role blends direct patient care with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high-quality, ethical, and evidence-based services. As part of the organization’s leadership team, this position plays a key role in the continued growth and expansion of services, including the development and launch of our Mental Health Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization (PHP) programs alongside our already existing services. Here, you will contribute to program design, clinical structure, and interdisciplinary integration to support comprehensive, whole-person care.   • Serve as the Lead Clinical Therapist based in Washington DC and supporting Arlington, VA site
  • This position is working in-person Monday – Friday, 11am-7pm
  • Design and deliver engaging process, psychoeducational and skills groups focused on emotional regulation, coping skills, and mental wellness.
  • Collaborate closely with medical, clinical, and administrative teams to shape and refine service delivery
  • Help establish and refine clinical workflows, outcome measures, and program structure
  • Provide clinical supervision and consultation to counseling staff and interns (as licensed/credentialed)
  • Support onboarding, training, and professional development of clinicians
  • Review clinical documentation to ensure quality, compliance, and best practices
  • Serve as a clinical resource for complex cases and ethical decision-making
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation (24–48-hour turnaround)
  • Develop and maintain person-centered, trauma-informed treatment plans
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and level-of-care determinations
  • Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment approaches, and symptom management to support insight, empowerment, and recovery
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, case consultations, and discharge planning
  • Coordinate care with families, referral sources, and external providers as appropriate
  • A heart for healing and a head for strategy. You balance empathy with accountability and clinical strength.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ mental health experience working in clinical direct patient care
  • A master's degree in a related field of study to our work
  • Working knowledge of CBT, DBT, ACT, trauma-informed care — EMDR experience is a major plus!
  • Comfort using Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)
  • A desire to grow, contribute, and be part of something bigger than yourself
  • Have strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Have strong knowledge of ethical standards, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements
  • Licensure is one of the following: LCSW, LPC
  • If you are personally in recovery, a minimum of three years of continuous sobriety is required, five years preferred.
