Suncoast Behavioral Health Center provides quality mental health care and education services for adolescents, ages 11–17 who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, educational, family and social challenges. The dedicated professionals at Suncoast Behavioral Health Center provide quality mental health treatment for children. The program establishes healthy behaviors and prepares children to transition back home. The Hospital is looking for a Lead Mental Health Technician: 7A – 3:30P. The Lead Mental Health Technician provides direct patient care adolescents in a behavioral health setting. The Lead Mental Health Technician’s primary responsibility is to ensure patient safety on the units. The Lead Mental Health Technician is responsible for ensuring that direct care and unit tasks are being performed according to hospital policy. The Lead Mental Health Technician has a patient assignment and assists the patient in treatment, recreation, and other activities of daily living to assess changes in their social behaviors and clinical status. Functions include but are not limited to: ensuring the program schedule is being followed, assignment of unit tasks, ensuring hospital policies are enforced. The Lead Mental Health Technician are responsible for understanding and using the least restrictive interventions per facility policy and successfully avoid seclusion and restraint whenever possible.
