About The Position
The Bohemian Grove is situated on 2,700 acres of towering redwood forest in the lower Russian River Valley in Sonoma County. For more than 150 years Club members and their guests have ventured to the Grove to enjoy and partake in the arts, music, literature and drama as well as nature walks and fine dining. Come spend the summer working in this unique and beautiful environment. We offer flexible schedules and excellent hourly wages for a summer only commitment. Spring Jinks: Monday, June 8 thru June 14th, 2026 Summer Encampment: Monday July, 6th thru July 31, 2026 General Lead Member shuttle drivers are responsible for shuttling members throughout the Bohemian Grove in either open canopy buses or multi-passenger golf carts in addition to giving direction to the other member shuttle drivers. Safety and security of all passengers as well as individuals walking throughout the Grove is critical at all times. Driving speeds are typically at 4 mph. It is necessary to keep your vehicle clean and safe at all times. A successful candidate possesses good organizational and communication skills as well as a friendly professional demeanor. Uniform Clean pants with a belt Clean and wrinkle free staff shirt Clean shaven Staff hat, if desired Clean, comfortable tennis shoes No facial jewelry is allowed, including tongue piercing. A light jacket will be available. You may wear your own sweatshirt/jacket or other outerwear under the provided windbreaker. Sweatshirts with hoods are fine as long as you do not wear the hooded portion.
Requirements
- Able to drive automatic vehicles.
- Ability to operate a manual transmission a plus.
- Able to lift 40 pounds or more on a regular basis individually and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- At least 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a current U.S. driver's license with no tickets or accidents within the last three years.
- Successfully complete a background investigation (even if you are a returner) and adhere to the Bohemian Club Drug Policy.
