About The Position

The Valley Health System has expanded into an integrated health network that serves more than two million people in Southern Nevada. Starting with Valley Hospital Medical Center in 1979, the Valley Health System has grown to include Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center, Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center, Summerlin Hospital Medical Center, Henderson Hospital, Valley Health Specialty Hospital, and our newest facility West Henderson Hospital. The Lead Medical Technologist is responsible for the analysis of laboratory specimens and subsequent result reporting according to laboratory protocol and procedures. Acts as general supervisor over assigned lab activities. Able to work effectively with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Baccalaureate Degree in relevant science or equivalent as defined by CLIA'88.
• 4 years experience as Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Lab Scientist (CLT) with general lab/multi-department experience.
• General bench tech skills required to provide coverage in all modalities.
• Nevada State License as general supervisor required; ASCP or equivalent board registration required.
• Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide high quality of patient care appropriately (specific age competent).
• Must possess appropriate people skills, organization and attention to detail.
• Must act as a resource for others.
