About The Position

Become a part of our caring community The Medical Assistant 4 is the first contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative responsibilities in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant 4 assumes ownership and leads advanced and specialized administrative, operational, and customer support responsibilities that require independent initiative and judgment. The Medical Assistant 4 performs clinical responsibilities. These responsibilities include discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, and medication/vaccine administration. Additionally, they perform phlebotomy, collect specimens, and conduct diagnostic screening tests. They are also responsible for sterilizing and cleaning equipment, maintaining examination rooms, and documenting information into the electronic medical records system. Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. Deliver direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows. Decisions are regarding the daily priorities for an administrative work group and external vendors. These decisions involve coordinating work activities and monitoring progress towards schedules/goals. Additionally, the role often oversees the work of others and is the primary administrative owner of a main process, program, product, or technology. Work within broad guidelines. The Medical Assistant 4 has advanced knowledge, contributes to process improvement, delivers in-depth training, and provides advanced guidance/mentoring to other Medical Assistants. Requirements

  • Required Certified or Registered Phlebotomy Experience
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Medication/vaccine administration experience
  • 3+ years MA Experience
  • Current/Active CPR Certification
  • We consider this role patient facing and runs its Tuberculosis (TB) screening program, which includes this role. If selected for this role, you will require screening for TB.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years MA experience in PCO center
  • Value-based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
