Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years’ experience working as a Medical Assistant providing direct patient care in a health care setting.
  • Medical terminology, computer knowledge required.
  • Applicant should possess a current MA certification. For New hires: Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment. If currently certified, must maintain current certification.
  • CPR certification required. Certification or completion courses must meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the work of Medical Assistants and others in the clinical operation of a patient care setting.
  • Perform duties required to assist providers in the examination and treatment of patients, such as preparation of the patient and environment, conducting basic specimen collection and assist in office procedures, care of the patient post-treatment, patient education, and clerical reception functions.
  • Medical Assistant will be required to cross train to work as a Front Office Representative.
  • Front Office Representative duties include the efficient, productive, and professional operation of the front office of the Clinic, which includes telephone and patient reception, scheduling patients, collecting patient demographic and insurance information, and collecting/documenting patient payments.
