Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Medical Assistant is the first contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative tasks in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. You will perform computations, and other tasks, and report to the Center Administrator. The Medical Assistant performs clinical tasks, including discussing symptoms and obtaining vital signs. These duties also include medication/vaccine administration, phlebotomy, and collecting specimens. Additionally, the Medical Assistant performs diagnostic screening tests, sterilizes/cleans equipment, and maintains examination rooms. Finally, the Medical Assistant documents information into the electronic medical records system. Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. Deliver direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows. Decisions are made regarding the daily priorities for an administrative work group and external vendors. These decisions involve coordinating work activities and monitoring progress towards schedules and goals. Additionally, the role often oversees the work of others and is the primary administrative owner of a main process, program, product, or technology. Work within broad guidelines with little oversight. The Medical Assistant has advanced knowledge, contributes to process improvement, delivers in-depth training, and provides advanced guidance/mentoring to other Medical Assistants. This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.
