About The Position
The position at Sutter Health involves assisting with maintaining efficient patient flow and quality care during clinic and department hours. The role includes providing backup support for the team, which encompasses all functions of a medical assistant's work. The individual will support clinic and department leaders in training new staff and will integrate education, technical competence, and patient interaction skills to gain confidence and cooperation from patients, their families, and other healthcare providers. The position requires maintaining infection control and safety requirements, as well as adhering to office policies, procedures, and standards. All duties are performed under the direction of a clinician and within the scope of practice.
