Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • CPR certification
  • Medication Administration Training
  • Three years’ experience working as a medication technician in an Assisted Living setting
  • Intermediate computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 1 year of experience in supervisory or lead role

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications per South Carolina regulation
  • Provide or assist residents with ADLs such as but not limited to: bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, nail care, eating).Follow the residents’ care plan to ensure residents’ individual needs are met.
  • Communicate inaccuracies in the care plan to the Director Residential Services.
  • Perform basic assistance with daily living activities
  • Promote a cordial environment for residents, families, visitors, and co-workers; assist in maintaining a “home-like” environment.
  • Complete EHR required documentation for medication and treatment administration.
  • Follow-up on EHR dashboard throughout the shift to prevent delays/noncompliance.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new employees.
  • Provide accurate follow through for written/faxed orders from physician to pharmacy.
  • Answer all call lights promptly and with a great attitude.
  • Report any changes in residents’ conditions to the Charge Nurse promptly.
  • Complete required documentation in accordance with Community policies and State and/or Federal regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
