Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- CPR certification
- Medication Administration Training
- Three years’ experience working as a medication technician in an Assisted Living setting
- Intermediate computer skills
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 1 year of experience in supervisory or lead role
Responsibilities
- Administer medications per South Carolina regulation
- Provide or assist residents with ADLs such as but not limited to: bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, nail care, eating).Follow the residents’ care plan to ensure residents’ individual needs are met.
- Communicate inaccuracies in the care plan to the Director Residential Services.
- Perform basic assistance with daily living activities
- Promote a cordial environment for residents, families, visitors, and co-workers; assist in maintaining a “home-like” environment.
- Complete EHR required documentation for medication and treatment administration.
- Follow-up on EHR dashboard throughout the shift to prevent delays/noncompliance.
- Assist with onboarding and training new employees.
- Provide accurate follow through for written/faxed orders from physician to pharmacy.
- Answer all call lights promptly and with a great attitude.
- Report any changes in residents’ conditions to the Charge Nurse promptly.
- Complete required documentation in accordance with Community policies and State and/or Federal regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
