What you’ll achieve In this position as a Lead Mechanical Engineer , you will design, analyze, document and functionally validate mechanical components and assemblies. You will also conduct and participate in engineering tests to validate the robustness and proper performance of new products. In this role, you will drive early innovation with suppliers that generate new features and intercept our platform schedules in time for low risk integration and interface with electrical engineering, manufacturing, quality, tooling engineering and other development groups to ensure the successful development and launch of new products. The Lead ME will utilize best-in-class tools to develop innovative solutions to highly complex problems. You will be responsible for the mechanical detail design on assigned components and for testing, analysis and debuging on assigned mechanical prototypes. You will contribute to the successful management and development of mechanical tooling and first samples delivery, ensure that comprehensive qualification and subsequent tool revisions are completed and that deliverables are met per program schedules.
