About The Position

We’re hiring a Lead Mechanical Engineer to design and lead HVAC systems for data centers, industrial facilities, and advanced environments . This role provides technical leadership, mentors junior staff, and collaborates across disciplines on complex projects. What You’ll Do: Lead HVAC system design (chilled water, cooling systems, ductwork) Develop design criteria, calculations, and construction documents Create P&IDs and system layouts Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Mentor junior engineers What You’ll Need: Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering PE License 7+ years HVAC design experience 2+ years data center HVAC experience Strong knowledge of HVAC codes and standards Nice to Have: Revit, AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace experience Plumbing/utility systems design Location: U.S. (near a Jacobs office) – Hybrid (2 days onsite, 3 days remote)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering
• PE License
• 7+ years HVAC design experience
• 2+ years data center HVAC experience
• Strong knowledge of HVAC codes and standards

Nice To Haves

• Revit, AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace experience
• Plumbing/utility systems design
