About The Position

Plans and schedules all maintenance related activities for mechanical related tasks. Coordinates maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, repair and servicing of plant equipment as it related to mechanical issues. Essential Responsibilities & Functions include the following, others may be assigned. Coordinate preventive and reactive maintenance activities for mechanical related tasks. Coordinates activities related to parts reservations, orders, services and other needed items for completion of all mechanical jobs in a safe and efficient manner. Work in conjunction with the lead E&I coordinator to provide mechanical support for preventative and reactive related issues. Ensures that tasks are performed safely; appropriate permits are filled out and followed. Also, ensures housekeeping is performed during each job. Attends planning and scheduling meetings as required. Coordinates work assignments and follows up on progress. Determines the need for contract resources to accomplish mechanical tasks and coordinates with the contractor to arrange for resources. Evaluates contract resource job completion and provides feedback to contract and Prayon management. Ensures that adequate equipment, tools and materials are available before jobs begin. Maintains basic maintenance shop equipment. Operates tools and equipment as required to make or repair parts and equipment. Operates mobile equipment as required. Locates sources of problems by observing equipment in operation, listening for problems, using precision and testing instruments Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring and testing instruments. Troubleshoots mechanical problems and performs root cause analysis in partnership with operators to solve problems and make improvements. Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by ensuring the completion of preventive maintenance requirements, following diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer’s instruction, and engineering specifications. Ensures operational changeovers are conducted using work instructions, SOPs and following plant safety rules/regulations. Implements improvements on changeover speed, safety and quality. Documents work performed in the computerized maintenance database in order to build equipment history. Reviews equipment repair history for PM/PD creation or changes to current practices. Delivers red-lined drawing to appropriate person when discrepancies are identified between a drawing and actual plant conditions. Maintains a clean, organized and safe work area by complying with documentation, procedural and applicable regulatory requirements (such as safety, environmental and housekeeping.) Maintains historical records by implementing record keeping systems and filing documents. Attends and participates in required training; trains others in areas of proficiency or expertise. Understands and follows all organizational policies, procedures and rules, ensuring that all laws are obeyed and equal employment, safety and environmental protection are practiced. Must be able to work in excess of eight hours per day or forty hours per week on any shift or travel as needed. On-call as required. Consistently demonstrates prompt, regular and reliable attendance. Communicates development and career goals to immediate supervisor and takes ownership of personal development plan. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Supervisory Responsibilities & Functions Completes mechanical operational requirements by coordinating contractor resources ; monitoring and following up on work results. 90% of Lead Mechanical Technician’s time is spent performing lead mechanical responsibilities. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year experience in accounting
  • Reading/comprehension, speaking and writing at required education equivalency level.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business correspondence, technical/product information, policies/procedures or government regulations.
  • Ability to complete written forms and write routine to complex procedures, reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in a group or individual setting.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree in Accounting
  • 2+ years’ experience in accounting
  • SAP experience is preferred, but not required.
