About The Position

The Lead Mechanical Assembler at Hyve Solutions Corporation is responsible for leading a team in the precise and efficient assembly of complex mechanical components and systems for data center infrastructure. This role involves ensuring the quality and timely completion of assembly projects while providing technical guidance and training to team members.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong proficiency with various hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Excellent understanding of mechanical principles and assembly techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and train a team effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data center hardware assembly is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of mechanical assemblers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality and efficient production.
  • Interpret and work from engineering blueprints, schematics, assembly drawings, and work instructions to assemble mechanical systems and sub-assemblies.
  • Perform complex mechanical assembly tasks, including fitting, alignment, and adjustment of components using various hand and power tools.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections of assembled products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Monitor inventory of parts and materials, communicating shortages or discrepancies to relevant departments.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve assembly processes and product designs.
  • Document assembly procedures, changes, and deviations as required.
  • Train new assemblers on proper techniques, safety protocols, and company standards.
