About The Position

Lime is the world's largest shared electric vehicle company, dedicated to building a future where transportation is shared, affordable, and carbon-free. As a Lead Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our fleet of shared electric bikes and scooters, which have powered over 400 million rides across more than 250 cities worldwide. This position is ideal for mechanically-inclined operations professionals who are eager to expand their career experiences in a dynamic and team-oriented environment. Teamwork is essential, as you will collaborate with other mechanics to identify areas for improvement in our product lines and ensure the safe operation of our fleet. In this role, you will onboard, train, and lead a team of Mechanics and Senior Mechanics, assigning daily tasks to ensure efficient workflow. You will maintain a team-oriented atmosphere and integrate new mechanics into the team. Evaluating team performance and providing feedback to management will be part of your responsibilities, as will ensuring operational compliance and safety of all vehicles through thorough quality checks before deployment. You will follow established safety procedures to guarantee that Lime riders are using the safest vehicles possible. Your duties will also include managing battery operations, supporting inventory management, and performing various levels of tire maintenance. You will identify issues and conduct small repairs on vehicles in the field, ensuring they are in optimal working condition. Additionally, you will perform in-warehouse repairs, from basic maintenance to complex electronic part replacements, and maximize the number of operational vehicles by efficiently completing assigned tasks. Operating a pallet jack or push cart and a van for the deployment and retrieval of Lime electric vehicles will also be part of your role. This position may require you to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, and you will need to lift up to 65 lbs frequently.
