Requirements

  • 5+ years of industrial mechanic experience with a strong focus on pumps and rotating equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and pump assembly packages
  • Proven industry experience working hands-on with process equipment
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards

Nice To Haves

  • Leadership experience in a mechanical or industrial environment
  • Experience mentoring or coaching junior mechanics
  • Familiarity with multiple pump brands including Warman, Gallager, Hazleton, Ash, Lewis, and Delta
  • Previous exposure to continuous improvement initiatives and team collaboration

Responsibilities

  • Technical Expertise & Repairs: Inspect, diagnose, repair, and rebuild various process equipment daily, including pumps, accessories, and valves. Read and interpret blueprints and pump assembly packages to ensure accurate assessment and quality work. Success means becoming the go-to expert on all pump brands such as Warman, Gallager, Hazleton, Ash, Lewis, and Delta.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate the shop team of mechanics by assigning daily tasks, mentoring junior mechanics, and reviewing work to meet quality and safety standards. Drive initiatives, coordinate housekeeping projects, and lead by example in safety and operational excellence. Success is measured by a positive, motivated team meeting KPIs and deadlines.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams and administrators to improve processes, methods, and productivity. Communicate effectively to resolve issues and maintain a flexible, cooperative, and customer-focused environment.
  • Hands-On Role: Spend most of your time actively working on jobs, troubleshooting, and supporting the team. Be ready to assist others as needed while maintaining leadership presence.
  • Travel Requirements: Occasional travel for specialized pump training at locations such as Hazleton, PA., St. Louis, MO, and Ocala, FL. to enhance technical expertise.
