About The Position

The Meat Department Lead is responsible for providing meat preparation services for guests, setting & filling the service counter and self-service cases and providing outstanding guest service. The Meat Department Lead is expected to use meat operating tools and equipment up to 75% of the time. This position provides oversight to department staff and conditions in absence of department management. In stores that feature a Smokehouse, partners with Pit Master to feature product offerings. Duties include assisting guests with orders and requests, answering guest questions, preparing and displaying items in the service counter, and maintaining overall cleanliness of department.

Responsibilities

  • Provide meat preparation services for guests.
  • Set and fill the service counter and self-service cases.
  • Provide outstanding guest service.
  • Use meat operating tools and equipment up to 75% of the time.
  • Oversee department staff in absence of department management.
  • Partner with Pit Master to feature product offerings in stores with a Smokehouse.
  • Assist guests with orders and requests.
  • Answer guest questions.
  • Prepare and display items in the service counter.
  • Maintain overall cleanliness of the department.
