The Meat Department Lead is responsible for providing meat preparation services for guests, setting and filling the service counter and self-service cases, and providing outstanding guest service. This position involves using meat operating tools and equipment up to 75% of the time. The Lead provides oversight to department staff and conditions in the absence of department management. In stores with a Smokehouse, the Lead partners with the Pit Master to feature product offerings. Duties also include assisting guests with orders and requests, answering guest questions, preparing and displaying items in the service counter, and maintaining overall cleanliness of the department.
