About the position
The Lead Math Instructor at Mathnasium is responsible for leading and coaching a team to deliver individualized math instruction to students in grades 2-12. This role involves assessing student progress, communicating with parents, and maintaining a supportive learning environment. The position offers part-time hours primarily after school and on weekends, providing a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on students' lives through effective teaching methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting.
- Assess students' learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions.
- Communicate student progress with parents and guardians.
- Teach/tutor in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices.
- Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes.
- Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Passion for math and working with students.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Eager to learn and be trained for success.
- Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I.
- Ability to balance leadership and instructional responsibilities.
