About the position

The Lead Material Handler (Quality Control) at RJW Logistics is responsible for maintaining an orderly warehouse environment, ensuring proper handling of shipments, and overseeing the safe operation of material handling equipment. This role emphasizes safety and efficiency in warehouse operations, with a focus on quality management and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping.
• Ensure all shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded properly.
• Properly receive, unload, move, and tag incoming parts and equipment.
• Verify orders are complete and accurate.
• Pull and stage parts for production and complete requisitions for parts shortages.
• Collect and properly package inventory and purchased items needing shipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies while using lifting devices.
• Learn day-to-day warehouse operations and assist in training new staff.
• Pick each customer order in the most effective manner possible to minimize shipping costs and ensure product safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2-4 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Experience operating material handling equipment and using an RF scanner.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Nice-to-haves

• Warehousing certifications.
