About The Position

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Massage Therapist to join our spa team at the Country Club of Colorado. This role is ideal for someone passionate about wellness and skilled in providing exceptional service. As a Lead Massage Therapist, you’ll have the chance to elevate our guests' experience with high-quality, personalized treatments in a vibrant, hospitality-focused environment. The Lead Massage Therapist is required to perform all massage and body treatments with expertise and the highest quality of service. They are responsible for the training, development and supervision of the Massage Therapist team. Training of new and existing staff in related massage and body treatment protocols and guest service standards.

Requirements

  • HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT REQUIRED.
  • MINIMUM OF 550 HOURS OF MASSAGE EDUCATION REQUIRED.
  • DIPLOMA OR CERTIFICATION FROM ACCREDITED SCHOOL OF MASSAGE/BODY WORK REQUIRED.
  • CURRENT COLORADO STATE LICENSE REQUIRED, AND IN GOOD STANDING.
  • 1-YEAR SPA EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-YEARS EXPERIENCE IN MASSAGE THERAPY PREFERRED.
  • KNOWLEDGE OF ADDITIONAL THERAPIES DESIRED.
  • PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH LEADING AND DEVELOPING A TEAM OF STAFF PREFERRED.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all massage and body treatments with expertise and the highest quality of service.
  • Responsible for the training, development and supervision of the Massage Therapist team.
  • Training of new and existing staff in related massage and body treatment protocols and guest service standards.
  • Consistently lead by example and is a role model each shift.
  • Demonstrate a guest-driven style of leadership with a sense of urgency in interactions, execution and recovery.
  • Function as a direct report for all massage therapists on staff.
  • Assist management in training, scheduling, mentoring and motivating the massage team.
  • Hold all massage therapists accountable for providing excellence in service according to massage protocol standards and completion of shift duty expectations of room cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new massage therapists.
  • Train new and existing massage therapist on the policies, procedures, and services.
  • Train new and existing nail and facial service providers with basic massage techniques according to service protocol.
  • Ensure treatment room equipment is in working order and report maintenance needs to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Ensure treatment product inventory is maintained and properly portioned.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the facilities including ensuring facility/amenities are in proper working order.
  • Attend all required departmental meetings and trainings and assist with leading such events.
  • Ensure a positive and professional attitude and warm and friendly demeanor is always put forth.
  • Promotes a positive image of the spa to other therapist and guests.
  • Perform all spa offerings related to massage and body treatments with the highest guest service standards to encourage repeat clientele.
  • Confident and proficient in a variety of massage techniques/styles; to include full body scrub treatments, pre-natal massage, hot stone massage, reflexology, Swedish, sports and deep tissue.
  • Ensure all massage treatment supplies and dedicated massage treatment areas meet cleanliness and organizational standards in place by lead massage therapist and spa manger.
  • Must be dependable for all assigned shifts. On-time attendance and ability to maintain fluctuating schedule demands.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with departmental standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the operation.
  • Check the appointment schedule regularly and is solely accountable for maintaining schedule fluctuations throughout any given shift.
  • Mandatory attendance at spa department meetings and trainings and spa-related events.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag. Hygiene is key in this environment due to the close proximity of working with the guests. At no time is cigarette smoke allowed to be on the hands, clothes or breath of a spa employee during a shift.
  • Ensure inventory control through proper usage of products.
  • Maintain passing scores on treatment inspections.
  • Maintain current licenses and certifications as required.
  • Promote and sell spa approved products using the recommendation form.
  • Ensure inventory control through proper usage of products.
  • Arrange treatment rooms and verifies with guests to ensure they are comfortable and safe through service.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, courteous and service oriented manner.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary. Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Assist with front desk or locker room functions, as assigned.
  • Perform special tasks as requested by management.
