About The Position

BJ’s Wholesale B2B team is seeking a Market Intelligence professional to support the development, analysis, and execution of strategic business initiatives—ranging from long-range growth planning to business transformation projects. This role will be instrumental in supporting the team’s oversight of BJ’s B2B strategic planning process and identifying 'white space' opportunities across the business, along with other high-priority projects. The BJ’s B2B team is responsible for shaping strategic positions on critical long-term opportunities and challenges facing BJ’s B2B segment, and collaborates with stakeholders across merchandising, operations, digital, finance, and sales to advance key growth and operational initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of B2B wholesale, retail, and customer engagement strategies, along with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, matrixed environment. Proficiency in financial statement analysis and exceptional analytical skills are essential for success in this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2+ years of consulting experience
  • Deep understanding of retail business or relevant B2B sales
  • Strategic planning and business planning experience are preferred
  • Successful track record of working in complex organizations with mid-to-senior levels of leadership

Responsibilities

  • Work with B2B senior leadership and key personnel to inform strategic priorities to drive Business growth, and support setting financial growth targets
  • Perform quantitative external market research to identify comprehensive list of potential new customers, and prioritize these opportunities for commercial sales team
  • Work with commercial sales teams on identifying and forming strategies to expand wallet share with existing customers / key accounts
  • Enable senior management decision-making by providing support in key areas such as market analysis, internal performance, and support developing presentations for senior management and executives
  • Conduct external market research to gather competitive intelligence in the B2B space, helping the Business remain informed on key trends and competitor actions
  • Analyze performance against objectives, tracking win rates, break-in success, account growth, etc., translating findings into visuals/presentations for commercial sales teams and senior leadership
