Fuel Your Passion As a Senior Manufacturing Technology Engineer, you are leading initiatives to implement and optimize new technologies across our manufacturing processes. You are driving process innovation, ensuring system reliability, and mentoring junior engineers. You are managing complex projects from concept through deployment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver advanced solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and scalability. As a Senior Manufacturing Technology Engineer, you will be responsible for: Leading the full lifecycle of new technology projects, from concept development to factory deployment Preparing comprehensive technical specifications, aligning vendors on requirements, and conducting technical and financial assessments Managing vendor selection, technical evaluations, and design reviews to ensure solutions meet internal stakeholder expectations Serving as Systems Engineer, orchestrating collaboration among engineering, manufacturing, and sourcing teams throughout all project phases Coordinating external suppliers and internal activities to ensure seamless integration of product and process changes for successful go-live Supporting commissioning, ramp-up, and troubleshooting of new automation technologies Driving continuous improvement and standardization across automation platforms Promoting digitalization and machine connectivity initiatives to establish operational standards inside the organization Partnering with manufacturing, engineering, and sourcing teams to identify process optimization opportunities and evaluate new suppliers Collaborating with engineering teams on design-for-manufacturing practices, ensuring smooth NPI transitions to production Contributing to the long-term manufacturing technology roadmap with a strategic outlook of five years Overseeing prototype development and guiding solutions for highly complex automation challenges Championing change management initiatives, fostering a culture of technological adoption across all organizational levels Conducting Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) assessments during testing, production, and industrialization phases Leading Program Management activities for assigned projects, including planning, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication Performing risk assessment and mitigation planning throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful delivery and minimize operational impact To be successful in this role you will: Have a B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Automation, or related disciplines Have 7–10 years of experience in new technology, automation, or manufacturing engineering environments Have demonstrated ability to manage vendors and lead cross-functional teams Have knowledge of industrial automation systems and enterprise-level integration Have proven Program Management skills, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder communication Have ability to lead and influence others effectively Have excellent communication and organizational capabilities Have ability to work independently with minimal supervision Work in a way that works for you We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too. Candidates for this role (office-based/ hybrid/ remote) must be located in or near the locations displayed above. The pay range/scale displayed above represents Baker Hughes’ good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position at the time of this posting and applies to the possible locations for this position. Baker Hughes will issue a non-bias competitive offer; the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hires, full-time salaries in some U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. Requirements

  • Have a B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Automation, or related disciplines
  • Have 7–10 years of experience in new technology, automation, or manufacturing engineering environments
  • Have demonstrated ability to manage vendors and lead cross-functional teams
