About The Position

Eaton Corporation's Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer for their Crouse-Hinds business; this position is based out of the Amarillo, TX manufacturing facility. Relocation is provided within the United States. The expected annual salary range for this role is $93750.03 - $137500.04 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Machining Applications, including: CNC Programming, Tooling, Methods Development and Fixtures.
  • Technical knowledge in statistical controls.
  • Experience in finish applications (i.e., plating, painting, and assembly).
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Bilingual with Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimize machining processes for improved efficiency and quality.
  • Create and modify CNC programs using software such as Mastercam, Siemens, Fanuc, or similar.
  • Design and select cutting tools, fixtures, and work-holding solutions to enhance production.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues, including tooling wear, machine performance, and program inefficiencies.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and design teams to ensure manufacturability of components and support new product introduction (NPI).
  • Analyze cycle times, tool life, and machining parameters to drive cost and time efficiencies.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Plan, organize, and lead capital improvement projects, including equipment replacements and upgrades, while maintaining positive relationships with external vendors.
  • Manage the documentation of both legacy and new manufacturing processes, including work instructions and standard operation procedures.
  • Support production by enhancing site capabilities, safety, quality, and utilization, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage the installation and implementation of new equipment.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with external vendors related to assigned capital improvement projects.
  • Troubleshoot and lead problem-solving activities to identify root cause issue and propose recommended solutions to both Plant and Division leadership teams.
  • Leverage both change management & project management skills to plan, organize, and lead various capital improvement projects including equipment replacements and upgrades.
  • Proactively drive improvements related to the machining and material flow to support production.
  • Support standardized work definition as well as the workplace design under the consideration of MESH and LEAN requirements.
