About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer will support the Combustion manufacturing operations at GE Vernova by fostering a strong safety culture and developing, maintaining, and improving quality practices across machining and fabrication operations. This role partners closely with production, quality, EHS, and engineering teams to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing processes that meet internal and customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing).
  • Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Production Process and Equipment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future
  • This position is 100% onsite at our GE Vernova Greenville, SC site
  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology.
  • GE will require proof of status prior to employment

Responsibilities

  • Lead priorities to maintain equipment reliability, process rigor, and programming as needed.
  • Manage projects and continuous improvement efforts in accordance with plant metrics including root cause investigation problem solving of Quality related issues.
  • Ensure all engineering designs and technical data meet customer CTQs and compliance requirements.
  • Drive a robust training program for manufacturing processes
  • Maintain and improve process documentation and enforce in assigned area to ensure consistent quality.
  • Implement, maintain and continuously improve 5S methodology in assigned areas; drive culture change
  • Provide advanced quality engineering of new product introduction involving new processes or advanced automated equipment
  • Leads analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.
  • Mentor others in area of expertise
  • Develops new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations.
  • Communicates across the function in area of expertise
  • Own overall unibody fabrication lean line welding operations, including robot welding, fixture modification and design to support print tolerances.

Benefits

  • The base pay range for this position is $91,700.00 - 152,700.00 USD Annual.
  • This position is also eligible for a 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.
