About the position
The Lead Manufacturing Engineer - CNC Programmer is responsible for programming, maintaining, repairing, and testing CNC machinery in a high-precision engineering manufacturing environment. This role involves supervising a team of CNC programmers and contributing to process improvements while ensuring production quality.
Responsibilities
- Write and optimize CNC programs for complex parts in MasterCam.
- Design fixtures, gages, and cutting tools.
- Manage document control for tooling and programs.
- Troubleshoot production issues related to tooling and fixtures.
- Lead the setup and compliance for tooling and machining processes.
- Monitor production quality and make machine adjustments as needed.
Requirements
- 5 or more years of CNC programming and setup experience.
- Supervisor experience is required.
- Proficiency in Mastercam and AutoDesk Inventor software programs.
- Strong understanding of G and M codes and blueprint reading.
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Brother VMCs is a plus.
