About The Position

Hadrian is building autonomous factories that help aerospace and defense companies manufacture rockets, satellites, jets, and ships up to 10x faster and up to 2x cheaper. We are opening a new headquarters to support thousands of future hires, launching Hadrian Maritime to serve the naval production sector, and introducing a Factory-as-a-Service model that delivers complete systems instead of individual parts. Our fast-growing team is united by a shared mission to reindustrialize American manufacturing for the 21st century and beyond! The factories-as-a-service team analyzes our current customers' production and supply chain challenges, builds data-driven presentations, designs and scopes factories of the future, and assists the Federal and Strategic sales team in forming long-term partnerships with the DOD, Primes, and other manufacturers. This team is responsible for scoping, design, cost, schedule, and technology analysis, as well as proposals for major programs and manufacturing transformations across all manufacturing methods and domains. With several major programs in flight, we are hiring rapidly for this team that will effectively analyze, design, scope, plan, and handover (or join) execution of large-scale manufacturing efforts.

Requirements

• Senior Manager or above level with deep expertise in casting production and inspection.
• Able to travel ~25% to DOD and prime facilities.
• Capable of leading 1-2 casting MEs.
• Able to analyze DFM and design/plan production and inspection lines for casting.
• Prior experience standing up new casting lines in Aerospace, Automotive, or other domains.
• Ability to move quickly and make risk-adjusted decisions.

Nice To Haves

• Software or automation experience is not required, but helpful.
• Working knowledge of casting technology and CapEx.

Responsibilities

• Lead Manufacturing Engineer, Casting, Special Projects overseeing drawing reviews, CapEx planning, and automation feedback for casting.
• Review drawings for manufacturability rapidly and select the right CapEx for part numbers and assemblies.
• Advise the automation team on casting best practices and have a deep working knowledge of production and inspection methods for casting.
• Assist in building new factories for existing production scope and contribute to the manufacturing processes of new products where casting is a designed-in function.
• Recruit and lead 1-2 casting MEs to assist and work with Hadrian's Automation and Factories Leadership teams to design and ship comprehensive casting production and inspection lines.
• Analyze customer drawings and current state of production to design, build, and guide automation of casting DFM, Production, and Inspection Lines.
• Deliver cost/schedule/solutions in partnership with our customers and the Federal team.
• Own CapEx planning, vendor selection, and costing.
