The Lead Manager for New Product Introduction at Reynolds American is responsible for managing new product introduction projects within the factory, ensuring successful implementation and driving process standardization and improvements. This role involves developing project plans, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring engineering and process capability checks are performed prior to product deployment. The Lead Manager will also facilitate meetings, maintain the factory engineering capability matrix, and drive post-implementation reviews to enhance factory service in terms of capacity, capability, and quality.

  • Driving successful implementation of NPI projects in the factory.
  • Developing project plans with inputs from factory functional experts.
  • Developing and training factory processes to ensure successful implementation of projects.
  • Ensuring appropriate engineering and process capability checks are performed prior to deployment of new products.
  • Coordinating product validation processes including cigarette validations and factory tests.
  • Facilitating meetings and providing visibility of project/activity status to cross-functional team members.
  • Maintaining the factory engineering capability matrix.
  • Driving post-implementation reviews and follow-ups to improve factory service in terms of capacity, capability, and quality.
  • Developing and implementing best practices and sharing knowledge with other functions and factories.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Licensure as a Professional Engineer with 3+ years of progressive experience, or Associate Degree in Engineering or related field with 3+ years of progressive experience, or 3+ years relevant work experience in a technical field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across different levels in the organization.
  • Project management experience with the ability to manage complex projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in process mapping and development.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Leadership and team working skills with motivational capacity.
