Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program
  • PACS and RIS experience
  • ARRT (R)(M) MRT-General Certificate
  • BLS through the American Heart Assoc
  • 3+ years of experience in mammography or 1-year of KSC mammography and 1-year in mammography quality control
  • Experience using Microsoft
  • Knowledge of mammography quality assurance measures and accreditation requirements
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Associates in Applied Science-Radiology Technology
  • Experience with X-ray, DEXA and SCNB
  • Additional QM registry
  • Bilingual

Responsibilities

  • Utilize equipment which produces ionizing radiation to obtain images for diagnostic purposes according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Radiology Department and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic.
  • Operate equipment including mammography and DEXA studies, general radiographic studies, fluoroscopic studies, ASC procedures, and/or SCNB procedures with designated Radiology Information System (RIS) and designated PACS system.
  • Function as a team leader, with appropriate attention to team development and success of department.
  • May be assigned to other duties, technical or non-technical if training, experience, and credentials are deemed adequate by supervisor to perform those duties.
