About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at a well-established historic hotel property . This role requires a hands-on professional with strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent organizational skills, and extensive knowledge of building systems. Because of the age and character of our property, the ideal candidate will be comfortable maintaining older infrastructure while ensuring all systems operate safely and efficiently. Attention to detail, strong record keeping, and the ability to manage preventative maintenance are essential.

Requirements

5+ years of maintenance experience (hotel, commercial property, or similar environment preferred)
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and HVAC systems
Experience working with older or historic buildings preferred
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to documentation and record keeping
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
Basic knowledge of electrical systems is a plus
Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand, climb ladders, bend, and perform physical maintenance tasks

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting throughout the hotel property
Maintain and service HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and mechanical equipment
Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues quickly and efficiently
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, equipment records, and preventative maintenance schedules
Monitor building systems to ensure proper operation and safety compliance
Coordinate with management and outside vendors when specialized work is required
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs
Assist in maintaining the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of the property
