About The Position

The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing the upkeep and maintenance of multiple ACE Wellness Center locations and company vehicles. This role ensures all facilities and vehicles operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies, Ohio standards, and health and safety codes. The Lead Maintenance Technician serves as the primary contact for emergencies and facility-related issues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or automotive maintenance preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in building maintenance or facilities management; experience with vehicle maintenance is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, fire safety standards, and basic automotive care.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and safety codes.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies promptly and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between locations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoors and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and perform maintenance tasks across all ACE Wellness Center locations (Lorain, Valleyview, Berea, Columbia Station, and Strongsville).
  • Manage and resolve issues related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and fire safety systems.
  • Establish and maintain custodial cleaning schedules for all facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, Ohio regulations, OSHA, EPA, fire codes, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for emergencies and facility issues, responding promptly and effectively.
  • Manage short- and long-term facility projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, work orders, and incident reports.
  • Communicate regularly with the supervisor regarding facility needs, progress, and priorities.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and inspections.
  • Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment; order replacements as needed.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to any maintenance staff or custodial team members.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on company vehicles, ensuring they are safe, operational, and compliant with state requirements.
  • Schedule and coordinate vehicle repairs and servicing as needed.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
