The Lead Maintenance Technician supports the work of the YMCA, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. This position ensures that facilities, grounds, vehicles, and equipment are maintained in a safe, efficient, and high-quality manner. The role provides day-to-day leadership and oversight of the maintenance team, including assigning work, setting priorities, and evaluating performance. The Lead Maintenance Technician is also responsible for planning and managing preventive maintenance programs, coordinating vendors and contracts, supporting budget development, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards, while working independently and exercising discretion and judgment in decision-making, resource allocation, and project coordination.
