Lead Maintenance Technician-Hillview

About The Position

Eureka Multifamily Group is seeking an experienced and hands-on Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance operations at one of our multifamily communities. This leadership role is responsible for maintaining the physical integrity of the property, supervising maintenance staff (if applicable), and ensuring excellent service to residents. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in property maintenance, organized, responsive, and committed to delivering quality workmanship and strong customer service.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of multifamily maintenance experience required
  • Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems (EPA Certification required)
  • Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general carpentry
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks daily
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

  • CPO Certification (if property has pool)
  • HVAC Certification (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Perform and oversee general maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, and drywall
  • Complete service requests promptly and professionally
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance issues efficiently
  • Ensure vacant units are turned and market-ready within company timelines
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections
  • Supervise and train maintenance team members (if applicable)
  • Prioritize and assign daily work orders
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and safety procedures
  • Maintain positive communication with Property Manager and Regional Manager
  • Maintain OSHA safety standards and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Oversee pool maintenance (if applicable) and ensure compliance with health regulations
  • Maintain organized maintenance shop and inventory controls
  • Track and manage maintenance supplies and vendor services
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors
  • Obtain bids as requested
  • Monitor maintenance expenses and operate within budget guidelines
  • Assist with capital improvement projects as needed
  • Participate in rotating emergency on-call schedule
  • Respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies in a timely manner
