The Role Lead Maintenance Technician Walmart Central Fill | Orlando, FL $27.00 – $31.50/hour Schedule: Tues–Fri 2:00 PM–10:30 PM | Sat 9:00 AM–5:30 PM (subject to business needs) Role Overview The Lead Maintenance Technician serves as the technical leader for maintenance operations in a high‑volume pharmacy automation and distribution environment. This role combines hands‑on troubleshooting with leadership responsibilities, acting as the primary point of contact for equipment reliability, technician development, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance or facilities engineering experience
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (AC/DC, PLCs, controls)
- Working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and networked systems
- Prior lead or senior maintenance experience preferred
- Experience with SOPs, LOTO, OSHA, and work order systems a plus
Nice To Haves
- Technical degree or trade certification
- NEC knowledge and light electrical construction experience
Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and mentor maintenance technicians; assign and prioritize troubleshooting tasks
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, and automated systems
- Diagnose issues across PLC‑controlled equipment, conveyors, printers, compressors, and related automation
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder logic
- Track equipment downtime and support preventive maintenance schedules
- Create and maintain SOPs/STPs and support parts inventory management
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed
- Promote safety, quality, and McKesson I2CARE principles on the production floor
